EXHIBITORS LAUD SATTE

The 21st edition of South Asia’s leading B2B travel and tourism trade exhibition SATTE achieved immense success. SATTE has always played a vital role in promoting diverse segments of tourism and has now evolved as a primary travel mart in South Asia, centered on a growing India-centric business.

Captains of the industry present at SATTE 2014 were unanimous in their opinion that SATTE has been a great networking and business transaction platform for the travel, tourism and hospitality sector. Jagdish Patil, Managing Director, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is of the opinion that a platform like SATTE is needed for further promoting tourism in India.

Agreeing with Patil, Sandie Dawe, Chief Executive, VisitBritain shared, “It’s really important if you are growing your industry, both inbound and indeed outbound, to hold a really signature event like this. India is now a huge contributor to global tourism. It is a key market for many of us competing for Indian tourism. So this is the place where we will come to do business and to work with the travel trade here for us to build the value of tourism to Britain.”

Over the years, SATTE has proven to be a very important platform for Tourism Malaysia to promote their destination in the Indian and South Asia market. “We have been very proud to be associated with SATTE and will continue to support the exhibition in the coming years as well, said Zulkifly Md. Said, Director General, Islamic Tourism Centre, Malaysia.
