Applications for Commercial Air Operations rises

Minister of State for Civil Aviation, K. C. Venugopal informed Rajya Sabha today that there has been a discernible rise in the number of applications seeking commercial air operations during the last one year.

Zav Airways and Deccan Charters sent in their proposals in 2012, while Air Asia (India); Airone Aviation Services; Zexus Air Services; Freedom Aviation; Air Carnival and Turbo Megha Airways submitted their proposals in 2013.

Air Asia (India) has been granted initial NOC to start Domestic Scheduled Air Transport (Passenger) Services.
