SATTE 2014 gathers momentum

As the industry gears up for the 21st edition of SATTE to be held in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan from 29-31 January 2014 followed by its companion event SATTE Mumbai West from 3 – 4 February 2014 at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, SATTE continues to record increased participation from exhibitors as well as buyers/visitors.

Over two decades, SATTE has evolved into an exceptional platform and the best avenue to promote inbound, outbound and domestic tourism. With the Ministry of Tourism already confirming their participation and extending their support, State Tourism Boards including Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra have increased their stall space at SATTE this year.  Other Indian states continue to participate with greater enthusiasm to engage strongly with the travel trade community at SATTE. State Tourism Boards such as Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshwadeep, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Odisha have also expressed their support for SATTE 2014.

SATTE has always played a vital role in promoting diverse segments of tourism, while states term SATTE as an incredible platform to showcase their destination; NTOs are also not lagging behind. SATTE 2014 for the first time will witness participation of countries such as Visit Britain, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Zambia, Gold Coast and Japan among others. Apart from these, countries such as USA, Turkey, Dubai, Kenya, Seychelles, Nepal and New Zealand are in the process of increasing their pavilion size for SATTE 2014.

To add to this mix, hotel chains such as Starwood, Accor, Kempinski, ITDC, The Lalit, Sahara Star, Frasers, Neemrana Hotels, Banyan Tree, Anantara, Sterling Resorts, Lemon Tree and Aitken Spence to name a few and many others from overseas countries have either confirmed or in the process of confirming their participation at SATTE.

The Buyer Programme at SATTE has consistently attracted top quality buyers to meet with international and domestic exhibitors from all sectors of travel trade. The Early Bird Offer also witnessed 100 per cent increase in the number of registered buyers compared to last year.
