Argentina National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) and South African Airways recently hosted top agents on a FAM Trip to Argentina. The group was also personally received with kind hospitality and warmth in Mendoza by the Governor of Mendoza, Francisco Perez and the Tourism Minister of Mendoza Javier Espina. The delegation was headed by Sajid Khan, Country Manager, India for South African Airways and Medha Sampat, Founder, ‘KNACK’.
The FAM trip showcased all the fine aspects of Buenos Aires, from getting a glimpse of the spectacular Puerto Madero, San Telmo, La Boca to Plaza de Mayo and Palermo Soho.
The delegates experienced the best of Buenos Aires which included gourmet cuisine, a tango show, the city tour with its majestic colonial history, shopping and nightlife. A day trip to San Antonio de Areco was also initiated to experience the authentic gaucho culture and the estancias (ranches). The visit also included a trip to Mendoza – the eighth capital of wine in the world, a trip to the Andes and bundled with visits to the spectacular wineries with a backdrop of snow-capped peaks.
