SATTE receives encouraging response at ITB Berlin

At the recently concluded ITB Berlin, SATTE – South Asia’s leading travel and tourism event, received overwhelming response and garnered great interest among exhibitors as well as visitors. International players who expressed ardent interest in SATTE at ITB Berlin include Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Romania, Luxemburg, Lesotho, Zambia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Jordan, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Vietnam, among many others.

SATTE 2014 vows to maintain a good visitor turnout including the right buyers, quality audience and repeat participants. International buyers who are looking at actively selling Indian destinations to their clientele view SATTE as a great platform to reinforce and build relationships with their prospective and current Indian partners. At ITB Berlin, international buyers from countries such as Germany, USA, Greece, Netherlands, France, Slovakia, Italy, Egypt, Jordan, Azerbaijan, China, Vietnam, Korea, Laos, Maldives, Singapore, and South Africa among others were optimistic on their participation at SATTE next year.

International travel trade associations also expressed great interest in partnering with SATTE. Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) USA, Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA), Malaysia Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA), Association of Southern African Travel Agents (ASATA) and UNWTO are among the many associations who are keen on venturing into partnerships and bringing in buyer delegation to SATTE. “It is great to know that SATTE is such a well established brand in South East Asia. With the whole industry looking at India as a top notch travel destination, it would be worthwhile to explore a strategic alliance with SATTE. We are keen on expanding our presence into the Asian markets and on the onset I feel this is the platform that we have been looking for to promote adventure travel,” said Casey Hanisko, VP, Marketing & Communication Adventure Travel Trade Association, USA.

The next edition of SATTE will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 29-31 January, 2014 and at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, from 3-4 February, 2014.
