Spree Hotels plans 12 properties

Spree Hotels, a mid-market hotel chain operating 10 properties across India, is in the process of becoming an established brand in the country. “We focus on making sure that everything guests value today – sleep experience, shower experience, breakfast and internet is of 5 star quality. We don’t charge for wi-fi, which is something that every young guest values,” Keshav Baljee, Managing Director, Spree Hotels, said.

Commenting on the current operational profile and future expansion plan, Baljee said that the company recently launched its 10th hotel. “Our 10th hotel was just launched in Marathahalli, Bengaluru. With this launch, we have two hotels in Bengaluru, three in Pune, one in Goa and one in Delhi. The other three properties are managed corporate guest houses and clubs. We will be expanding to various cities in India soon, with around 12 planned projects in the next two years,” he added. Explaining further about services offered by Spree Hotels, he said that many of the hotels are focused on banquets and catering as well. “We invest heavily in technology. We also have exciting health and wellness offerings in our hotels like spas, salons, yoga lessons, and the like. Our flagship hotel also has a Kiddie Zone, where our young guests can enjoy themselves,” he said.

Generally, the hotels’ clientele is typically between 25-45 years old, usually employed in IT or manufacturing. Moreover, the chain focuses on domestic bookings using their sales force which is now spread across India. “However, we have global tie-ups through our GDS systems, CRS systems, and other extranets, and we generate bookings from over 160 countries worldwide,” he stated.
