Trust HJ Lin who has been leading Taiwan Tourism Bureau in India along with a host of other regions, has been recently appointed as Deputy Director General, Taiwan Tourism Bureau (TTB). In his new role, Lin will be supporting the Director General in leading the Bureau to greater heights with his experience and international network with trade, tourism and countries globally.
He steered the Taiwan Southbound policy announced by President Tsai Ing-wen in 2016 that aimed at enhancing cooperation and exchange between Taiwan and 18 countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia. During his tenure Taiwan started to invest and emphasize in growing their market presence in India and attracting Indian travellers (from holiday and MICE/B2B) which witnessed an expansion of tourism opportunities and a 7-fold growth in tourism from India in the past few years.
Lin will also lead the post-Covid revival of tourism from both an inbound and outbound perspective, with his PhD in Strategic Management serving as an essential tool in leading the new phase of Tourism.
