Czech Tourist organises MICE fam trip for Indian agents

Czech Tourist Authority- Czech Tourism India Office recently organised a familiarisation trip for leading MICE Companies to showcase MICE offerings in Czech Republic. The group constituted of agents from companies including Club 7 Holidays, JTB, GOOMO, Harvey India, Travel Clinic, The Wanderers, Kesari, Dnata, Fountain Head and Baywatch.

Czech Tourist Authority with its partners curated an itinerary which showcased some of the member hotels, multifunctional centres and venues suitable for various events. The itinerary also included a few of the incentives group activities which the country can offer. The trip started with a B2B workshop in Prague including visa seminar and a round table consultation with Czech Travel Trade. Apart from Prague, the cities and towns which were explored by the group for MICE activities were Milovice, Kutna Hora, Brno and Mikulov. The trip also included experiences like the Prague boat experience on the Vltava River, vintage car sightseeing in Prague, tank ride in Milovice, lively and stylish Brno night, carriage ride in Lednice-Valtice area, and several experiential dinners.

Arzan Khambatta, Head, CzechTourism, India said, “Czech has become a popular destination for leisure in Europe. We have also witnessed MICE travel to Czech is growing at a steady pace with some excellent MICE movements in the recent years. Owning to this growth and demand, Czech Tourist Authority extended its promotional strategy to attract more MICE movements by conducting this maiden MICE specialised Fam Trip. For this trip we witnessed the participation from the potential MICE agencies from India who are confident about the destination to become a sought-after MICE destination for Indian corporate.”

The group of Travel Agents showed their admiration to the new facilities and premises and they praised the high number of new possibilities that the conference centres have brought about to host meetings and other events.

Czech cities have been hosting increasing number of visitors from India, and the numbers are increasing with every passing year. While Prague and its attractions remain popular among travellers, an increased interest has been recorded in newer experiences such as Heritage Cities of Olomouc, Litomysl, Kutna Hora, and Kromeriz, which have old-world atmosphere and abundant in sites protected by UNESCO.
