Dubai Tourism promotes new experiences at SATTE 2018

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) participated in the 25th edition of South Asia’s largest travel and tourism exhibition – SATTE 2018. SATTE serves as a platform for Dubai Tourism to engage with the biggest and most influential B2B and B2C partners in India and all over the world. At the recently concluded SATTE 2018, Dubai Tourism along with its partners highlighted the destination’s ever-growing portfolio of bespoke and affordable experiences that will appeal to every type of Indian traveller, whether they are travelling for business or leisure.

Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) said, “SATTE plays a key role in helping us further understand the nuances of one of our primary source markets and continues to enhance our destination offering to suit the ever-evolving needs of the Indian traveller. As one of the most prominent industry events in South Asia, the event provides us and our destination partners with an opportunity to provide industry professionals with in-depth knowledge of the key offerings and experiences for Indians visiting Dubai.”

“Through various workshops, panels and networking sessions, we hope to connect and collaborate with new and existing trade partners in India and integrate our efforts to further enhance Dubai’s position as the ideal holiday destination for visitors from India. This year at SATTE, we aimed to showcase what we have in store for Indian travellers in 2018 – from the stunning new Bulgari resort and the diverse wildlife at Dubai Safari, to the picturesque Dubai Frame and other projects set to open throughout 2018” he further added.

Always striving to evolve the visitor experience and to drive repeat visitation from India, Dubai Tourism this year at SATTE introduced its newest offerings such as the Dubai Safari Park, XLine Dubai Marina, Dubai Frame, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library and The Opus by Zaha Hadid. Apart from these attractions, Dubai’s popular festivals calendar, anchored by marquee events like Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Food Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises, was also showcased. Cruise Tourism, another key offering by the tourism board was showcased at SATTE 2018 to highlight Dubai’s strategic goal of welcoming one million cruise tourists per year by 2020. Dubai will continue to serve as a home port for six world-leading cruise lines namely Costa Cruises, Aida Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, MSC Cruise Lines and TUI Cruises to build its cruise tourism offering.
