In keeping with its annual promise of providing the industry with the best of travel and tourism and mapping the latest trends in the sector, SATTE has announced an exciting line-up of conferences for SATTE 2020 focusing on building partnerships in tourism and adapting and thriving in this ever-evolving travel industry. The conference agenda will also analyse trends, bottlenecks and future opportunities for the tourism industry in India.
The 2020 programme will have over two days of sessions and workshops, including high powered content during which high profile speakers and industry experts will present and lead discussions on a range of topics covering all aspects of the travel industry.
Recognising SATTE’s contribution in the growth of travel and tourism in India and South Asia, the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), continues to extend its support to SATTE 2020. The first panel discussion will feature representative from UNWTO and industry experts on ‘Global Economic Scenario and Tourism trends’.
The second panel discussion on ‘Adventure Tourism: Unlocking New Avenues’ will touch upon some of the major challenges for this low numbers in adventure tourism being lack of awareness, negligible amount of promotions, topped up with lack of safety guidelines. The session will also discuss the current scenario of adventure tourism, opportunities and new avenues.
The third session ‘Small Screen, Big Impact’, will discuss about the opportunities in the film tourism segment, availability of infrastructure and technical assistance, incentives and the way forward.
Day 2 of SATTE 2020 conference will once again be a Corporate Travel Day and will be powered by Corporate Travel Community (CTC). Under this partnership, CTC will organise two power-packed sessions; ‘Airline Programmes + NDC education forum’ and ‘The Accommodation Outlook and Technology Innovations Education Forum’. Apart from these, many more conference sessions are planned during SATTE 2020.
Also, similar to the previous edition SATTE 2020 will have a Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA) pavilion, where once again NIMA will organise around five sessions and two workshops on MICE tourism. There will also be destination/product briefings by various destinations and products from across the globe and India.
