The Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI), an organization of Russia’s top tourism industry stakeholders with a mandate to promote tourism to Russia, has appointed Salvia Promoters’ Prashant Chaudhary as the Representative of RUTI in India. RUTI has developed a network of Representatives in 15 countries including India that it sees as priority markets for the development of inbound tourism to Russia.
The Representatives’ main task is to promote tourism opportunities to Russia. The RUTI Representatives abroad will provide cooperation with national tourism administrations and industry organizations, hold conferences, road shows and seminars and other events in order to give fillip to tourism between Russia and their respective countries.
“By strengthening the network of the Russian Union of Travel Industry as an international bloc, we will contribute to the rapid restoration of inbound tourism after the opening of borders. India is one of the top priority markets that we want to see help us revive the tourism and we are absolutely thrilled to have India on our network now,” says Andrei Idnatiev, President of RUTI.
“It is my honor to be appointed as Representative of RUTI in India. Russia and India have been tremendous friends over the last seven - eight decades however not much have been done in the field of tourism. The appointment and presence of RUTI in India will greatly help promote tourism between India and Russia. Around 100,000 Indians visited Russia in 2019. This amounted to a growth of more than 30 per cent compared to the previous year,” said Prashant Chaudhary, Representative of RUTI in India and Managing Director, Salvia Promoters, the most sought-after name in tourism and destination marketing in India for Russia and the CIS region countries.
Russia is becoming one of the preferred outbound destinations among Indian travellers. Moscow and Saint Petersburg are particularly popular with Indian travellers. Indians are also increasingly flocking to Sochi, known as the Switzerland of Russia located on the Black Sea.
“Russia is beautiful not only during summers but also in winters. Learning skiing, husky & reindeer rides, exploring the Russian winter countryside staying in wooden houses, it’s a destination unrivalled in natural beauty and tourism attractions, offerings and activities. Our target is to make Russia 365-day destination for the Indian travelers. We are also promoting Murmansk Region where travellers can see the Northern Lights and enjoy in a lot many activities in winter and bask in the summer sun and natural beauty of this arctic land. We are also promoting Lake Baikal, the purest lake in the world and other Regions of Russia,” informed Prashant Chaudhary.
