Luxury by Lemon Tree Hotels, received the Gold Certification from the Indian Green Building Council (I.G.B.C.).

Speaking on the occasion, Patanjali G. Vistara announces non-stop flights between Mumbai and Abu Dhab starting from 1st October, 2022. The airline will operate daily flights between the two cities.

South Korea considered as the fastest growing aesthetics market in Asia-Pacific (APAC), is expected to retain its position in the future augmented by continuous innovation, growing demand for beauty, and increased spending on aesthetic enhancement, says GlobalData.

GlobalData’s research reveals that South Korea’s aesthetic device market, which accounted for 11% of the APAC in 2021, is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 7% between 2022 and 2030.

Ayshi Ganguly, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, mentions, “In South Korea, external appearance is considered very important to attain societal and professional success, and this creates pressure on both women and men to transform their physical appearance. The demand for affordable and quality cosmetic procedures and products is leading to advancements in this field.”

Airport service facilitator Dreamfolks Services will open its Initial Public Offering (Offer) on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

The Price Band for the Offer has been fixed at Rs 308 to Rs 326 per Equity Share. Bids can be made for a minimum of 46 Equity Shares and in multiples of 46 Equity Shares thereafter.

The company facilitates customers’ access to airport related services like lounges, food and beverages, spa, meet and assist, airport transfer, transit hotels or nap room access, and baggage transfer. At present, the company facilitates all the 54 lounges operational in India and enjoys market share of over 80 per cent in the domestic lounge access market.

The IPO consists of an offer of Equity Shares by way of an Offer for Sale of Up to 17,242,368 Equity Shares by the promoter selling shareholders. The Offer for Sale comprises upto 6,531,200 Equity Shares by Mukesh Yadav, upto 6,531,200 Equity Shares by Dinesh Nagpal and upto 4,179,968 Equity Shares by Liberatha Peter Kallat.

Etihad Airways will be making travel to the United States more convenient this winter by increasing flights to New York. From 15 November, Etihad will add four weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi – New York route, providing a total of 11 weekly nonstop services to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

The new flights will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, while existing daily services will continue on Etihad’s new Airbus A350 aircraft, which has been deployed on the New York route since June. These aircraft types are two of the most efficient in the world, with significantly less fuel burn and CO2 emissions than previous-generation twin aisle aircraft.

The frequency increase will provide travellers with more choice and flexibility between Abu Dhabi and New York and is perfectly timed to commence ahead of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix taking place on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi between 17 and 20 November 2022.  

Alex Featherstone, Vice President Network Planning & Alliances, said: “Etihad is enhancing its schedule this winter to provide even more options for our guests across key business and leisure destinations in our global network.

“Our New York service continues to perform strongly, and having already experienced record passenger demand this summer, Etihad is excited to be investing further in this market by building on frequency levels ahead of the peak winter travel period.”

With 11 flights per week to New York-JFK, and daily services to Chicago and Washington, Etihad will offer a total of 25 weekly services this winter between Abu Dhabi and the United States, and over 50% more premium seats than in the previous winter 2021 season.

The countdown to World Tourism Day 2022 is now underway, with every part of the sector invited to be an active part of the annual celebrations.

With the theme of ‘Rethinking Tourism’, the International Day of Observance will this year focus on re-imagining the sector’s growth, both in terms of size and relevance. The Republic of Indonesia will host the official day (27 September), though all UNWTO Member States, as well as non-members and stakeholders from across the private sector, are being invited to host their own celebrations as well as to promote the day and its central theme.

UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili says: “The potential of tourism is enormous, and we have a shared responsibility to make sure it is fully realized. On World Tourism Day 2022, UNWTO calls on everyone, from tourism workers to tourists themselves, as well as small businesses, large corporations and governments to reflect and rethink what we do and how we do it.”

World Tourism Day has been held on 27 September each year since 1980. The date marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Statutes of the Organization in 1970, paving the way for the establishment of UNWTO five years later.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman announced a special promotional roadshow in five major source cities in India commencing from 22 to 29 August 2022.

The roadshow, comprising a delegation from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Omani tour operators, hotels and airlines, will kick off from New Delhi and Ahmedabad and progress through Mumbai and Chennai to conclude in Bangalore.

The roadshow aims to showcase outstanding experiences in Oman’s unique destinations and promote unique travel experiences for leisure, weddings, conferences and exhibitions.

Oman received 167,678 Indian visitors between January – July, 2022.

Commenting on the launch of the promotional roadshow, Asma Salim Al Hajri, Deputy Director General for Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said: “India is one of the most important source markets for the Sultanate of Oman under our marketing and promotional strategy for all target segments. The roadshow will showcase the unique selling points (USPs) of destinations in Oman that will pique their interest to inspire Indian tourists to travel.”

“We also seek to promote the Sultanate as an attractive destination for weddings as this is one of the growing tourism segments, especially for visitors from India. With its pristine nature, picturesque beaches and unique architecture, Oman has seen many Indian weddings for its exceptional capabilities in terms of logistical facilities and accommodation,” she added.

Al Hajri also said that the Sultanate of Oman is a multi-season destination known for its natural beauty, cultural heritage and hospitality. It has been attracting tourists of all categories for years. “We want to attract more high-income travellers from around the world to experience the luxurious and diverse hospitality offerings that include Kempinski Hotel Muscat, The Ritz-Carlton Al Bustan Palace, Shangri-La Resorts, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Salalah, Alila Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Salalah, Six Senses Resort in Dibba and other projects that offer high-end luxury hospitality.Duri

ng the roadshow, the Ministry’s delegation will meet senior representatives of the Indian tourism industry and the Indian media. They will highlight the unique tourism experiences in the Sultanate and discuss ways to collaborate, build partnerships and work with Indian businesses to help bring tourist flows from India back to pre-pandemic levels.

It is worth mentioning that the Sultanate of Oman is also preparing to receive visitors arriving in Qatar for FIFA World Cup. To meet the increased demand during the season, Oman Air will operate up to 48 return flights between Muscat and Doha, including a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will operate daily. These flights will help transport fans staying in the Sultanate to Qatar for matches. Fans staying in Oman will be able to enjoy a variety of adventurous tourism experiences, whether it is kite surfing, cycling, hiking in the mountains, going down to see caves and scuba diving to see the colourful coral reefs of the Daymaniyat Islands or camping under the stars on the sands of Al Sharqiah desert.
