Cirium – the world’s leading authority on airline on-time performance analysed a mind-boggling 3.5 crore departure and arrival of flights to arrive at their findings for ‘On-Time Performance Review 2019’. According to Cirium, GoAir is the only airline from India to have made it to the list of top 10 most punctual airlines in Asia-Pacific region with average OTP of 76.94 per cent in 2019. Cirium tracks around 30 lakh flights per month using 600 global sources and covers over 97 per cent of scheduled flights worldwide and more than 80 per cent of tracked flights, including almost every airline in the world.
Cirium’s On-Time Performance (OTP) ranking is another feather in GoAir’s cap, close on the heels of ‘Best On-time Performance’ for 15 months in a row as per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data. GoAir has done the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), DGCA and Indian Civil Aviation industry proud once again with its operational excellence and best-in-class services.
Jeh Wadia, Managing Director, GoAir said, “It is truly a big honor for GoAir to be recognized by Cirium as one of the most on-time airlines in Asia-Pacific region. It is a testament of our commitment to lead in punctuality, reliability and customer satisfaction. The entire GoAir team has burned its midnight oils to make this happen and it is their endeavor to offer the best traveling experience to our customers. Their efforts have been recognised once again and needless to say, this milestone would not have been possible without the support of millions of passengers who have flown with GoAir.”
Jeremy Bowen, CEO, Cirium said, “Achieving world-class customer satisfaction and product differentiation is about more than just airfare discounts and flight availability. Before choosing a flight, today’s savvy travelers also consider airline OTP and operational reliability. We apply the highest level of data analysis to form our OTP review and we believe that Cirium’s On-Time Performance Review 2019 will inspire airlines and airports to continue innovating to improve their performance.”
