Jet Airways yesterday introduced a daily, non-stop flight connecting Visakhapatnam to New Delhi, effective 01st September, 2018. In keeping with rising demand, the airline also introduced a second daily frequency between the port city and the nation’s commercial capital, Mumbai.
To further enhance connectivity from Visakhapatnam, Jet Airways has also introduced a second frequency from Mumbai.
Jet Airways is focusing on catering to the demand from emerging cities and has introduced multiple connectivity options for the benefit of Small and Medium Enterprises, Corporate travelers and guests visiting friends and relatives. The additional services will promote travel and stimulate business and economic activity in the region. Visakhapatnam is the commercial hub of Andhra Pradesh and one of the 100 fastest growing cities in the world with a GDP of USD 43.5 billion. The port has a significant capacity to handle over 66,000,000 tons of cargo with a fishing harbour that is one of the oldest and largest in the state.
