With Punjab’s largest banquet and conferencing space, the new Park Plaza Chandigarh- Zirakpur is all set to make Zirakpur a new MICE hub. The 104-key full service upscale hotel is the latest launch from India’s leading homegrown hospitality group- Sarovar Hotels and Resorts. The group already has over 60 hotels and has well established brands like Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, and Hometel. It operates Park Plaza and Park Inn in India under a franchise agreement with Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
“Zirakpur is a rapidly developing satellite township of Chandigarh. In fact it is also known as the wedding capital of Punjab. Our new Park Plaza hotel here offers largest banqueting facility in the tricity. This property offers 80,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, which includes a 15500 sq. ft. pillar-less hall that can accommodate more than 1800 guests and over 60,000 sq. ft. well-manicured lawns that can hold a gathering of upto 3000 guests,” said Anil Madhok, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts at the launch of the new property at Zirakpur.
“We are confident that our hotel will fast emerge as the centre of MICE events and lavish social gatherings. In fact, it will act as a feeder to other hotels in the vicinity. It’s our fifth property in Punjab, while four others are in various stages of constructions. The properties in Punjab will be a Sarovar Portico and Park Plaza at Jalandhar and a Portico in Amritsar,” he added.
