MakeMyTrip launches holiday packages to New Zealand

MakeMyTrip  recently created a new range of holiday packages to New Zealand for the upcoming summer season. These products have a variety of customized itineraries for specific traveler segments.  This new range of holiday products is unique for two reasons; firstly, the itinerary showcases a complete experience of the wide variety of tourist attractions that New Zealand has to offer. The range also offers customers the flexibility to choose an airline of their preference to optimize the cost of holiday.

Mohit Gupta, Chief Business Officer – Holidays, MakeMyTrip, elaborated on the new launch “New Zealand is growing increasingly popular as an adventure destination for outbound tourists from India. Over the last decade Indians have become more confident travellers. We have created these new packages taking into account the aspirations and expectations of the new-age Indian traveller.”

Mischa Mannix-Opie, Regional Manager for Tourism New Zealand for South and South East Asia said, “India arrivals to New Zealand are strong, with total arrivals growing at +4.1% at 29,872 (year ending February 2013). Holiday arrivals are growing even stronger at +14.9% for the same period.   Part of our success in India is working with motivated and committed partners like MakeMyTrip.  We are delighted to partner with MakeMyTrip who are offering experience rich itineraries to New Zealand that showcase the range of the holiday experiences a visitor can have across 100% Pure New Zealand.”

Most itineraries to New Zealand are customized by Indian Tour operators to cover either the North or the South Island. While the North Island is more cosmopolitan and offers a diversity of experiences such as geothermal hot pools, thermal geysers and a warmer climate; the South Island offers stunning scenery – of ski-ranges and beautiful alpine drives.
